Initial telephone interview with HR manager, lasted about 30 minutes. Good discussion with actual dialogue rather than just me doing all of the talking. Nothing difficult, just good conversation. At the conclusion of the call, I was told my information would be provided to the hiring manager for a possible additional interview. Within just a few days, I was contacted by HR to set up a phone call with the hiring manager. The call was set up with me having several days in order to prepare, etc.
The call with the hiring manager couldn't have gone better. Strong connection, my responses were in line with how the hiring manager felt and what he was looking for, overall a very good 60 minute interview. We could have easily gone on for longer, good chemistry. I was then brought into corporate and interviewed individually with the management team, over the course of 3 1/2 hours.
Final meeting was a wrap up with the hiring manager. This conversation talked about an offer to come, vacation time, benefits, and other specifics that strongly indicated an offer was going to be made. This was on a Friday. On the following Tuesday, I received a one sentence e-mail from HR indicating they were not making me an offer and good luck in my job pursuit. Since the hiring manager had given me his cell phone number, I called him to ask what had happened. I had to leave a voice mail and never got the courtesy of a return call.
