I had a first tel con screen with a recruitment agency and then after much faffing about by the hiring managers - kept being difficult about time and date - I had an interview face to face with the two managers. I found them to be perfunctory. It started off badly when they said - with a smirk - they were relieved that I didn't live so far from London as the previous candidate, whom they rejected purely because of his location.
As the interview wore on they became obviously bored and rather rude as evidenced by their not listening or wilfully misinterpreting my words. I was very unimpressed but they did at least make it clear to me that this was not a good place to work - much too stressful and the role would be one which caught all the flak.
All in all the interview did it's job in that I soon decided that I wouldn't want to work there for that particular manager. They are also being taken over by another firm; there was always the worry about how long this role would have lasted anyway.
