The interview process began with recruiter outreach. Had an initial phone conversation and shared my portfolio, which was shared with the hiring manager. 2nd call was a 30 min call scheduled with a hiring manager who asked to see my work unexpectedly. Before this, generic product design interview questions were asked. Following this 30 minute interview, I received a call from the recruiter who was amazing and empathetic, but the feedback hiring manager provided was not helpful nor actionable at all. Mentioned the design work was not what he was looking for. For context, the same work has gotten me to final stages, and/or offers with some of the largest tech companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Google.

The process began with a phone call from the recruiter, followed by a conversation with the team lead, who was very friendly and showed genuine interest in my background. However, when I reached the presentation stage, it felt like the team was disengaged. I could tell that some members were focused on other screens rather than my presentation.
