Poor interview experience. I was scheduled a phone interview by the recruiter who had a very engaging and polite exchange over email until the day of the interview. 5 minutes pass from the scheduled time and I didn’t receive a call, I call the recruiter and it led straight to voicemail, 10 minutes pass from the scheduled time and I was planning to wait for another call but took it upon myself to reach out one more time to finally get a hold of the recruiter. I mentioned I didn’t receive a call and wasn’t able to get a hold of them and not only did they respond with a defensive response but they “claimed” they called and left me a voicemail, which I received neither when I was waiting by the phone the entire time for my scheduled call. While the interview went well, it was addressed with me that there are other candidates far along in the process but have not yet been selected — which sounds to me like my interview was just a waste of time.
