I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
Applied for the job and HR called me within several weeks. The following took place:
An HR recruiter interviewed me over the phone and after he deemed me "fit for the job" he passed my resume onto the hiring manager.
HR called me back and I was brought in for interviews (Riverwoods, IL). They have two buildings connected to one another. HR is in building 2, which is where I parked. I walked in and an Admin from the group walked me in. We had to walk to building 1, which took about 5 minutes.
They put me in a room on the lower level where there was water, soda and snacks. I interviewed with 3 people from the team and then the fourth interview was with HR.
I was called less than a week later to come back in and meet the Sr. Manager. I met with him once and he offered me the job.
Great interview process. Enjoyed meeting with people. Short response times, short waiting times. Overall was a good process. The job ended up not being for me, I withdrew from the process.
So many rounds of interview : positive reviews during interview , they gave all hope like their almost hired but ghosted and no reply or feedback after that . It was shocking
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Discover in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied for this role through an employee referral and received an email from the HR within 5 days. The HR wanted to know my background, qualifications and salary expectation before scheduling an interview round with the hiring manager. I had to give these answers in the form of an email. After sending the responses, I did not hear back from the recruiter for almost 2 weeks. I emailed her twice to check my application status (whether I've been rejected), but I did not receive any response. After almost 3 months, I got an email from her saying "Thank you for the time you invested in the interview while we are sorry that we have selected someone else for this position"
I never gave any "interview", nor did I receive any feedback from the recruiter. It was highly unprofessional on her end to not have a simple ethic of responding to a candidate (when she has emailed a couple of times)
