The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Discover in Aug 2008
Interview
The interview process is strange at discover in that management is completely reliant on hr for everything. Hr feeds them the resumes of all candidates hr feels are qualified, while this doesn't seem that out of the ordinary, it did take my resume 2 weeks to finally get to the hiring manager (I only know this because I was an internal candidate and knew the hiring manager). I eventually went through 4 interviews, one conducted by someone who would be in a position below me. A few days after the interview I was told by the hiring manager that I got the job and that hr would contact me soon. 2 weeks later they finally told me! The process is extremely ineffiient.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
Straightforward process. 3 rounds consisting of recruiter screening, Hiring manager interview, then final panel. Took about a month to receive official rejection but it was a personalize email from HR and hiring manager which was nice.

I applied through university. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
I had an on-campus 30-minute behavioral interview in October -- very casual. Then I was invited to the Riverwoods campus in November where I had two 30 minute behavioral interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Discover (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2022
Interview
I was lucky enough to connect with HR to discuss the role. From there, I had six remote interviews with the team and felt they went well. I am not naive to the idea that I wasn't selected however, I was ghosted by the team and after 3+ weeks and a few follow-up emails, I did not receive any updates or responses to the emails. Just feels unprofessional and is disappointing.
