I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Bloomington, IN) in Oct 2012
Interview
They came on-campus to conduct interviews. The interview consisted of 30 minutes of critical thinking questions and another 30 minutes of behavioral questions. They contact you within the next two weeks to let you know whether you get a second round interview. The second round of interviews are the same structure, but consist of much more rigorous questions.

I had 2 rounds of interviews (I believe that 3 is the new standard). For both interviews, it was really easy to speak with the recruiter and share my experience.
