      Directive Employee Interview

      Anonymous employee

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Directive

      Interview

I applied online based off an add I saw on a website. I was called for an interview almost immediately. Upon arriving for an interview no one seemed very concerned with pointing me in the right direction. I finally found HR and she brought me to a dingy kitchen to take a "test". She said she would be back in 5 minutes, I waited 15 before going to find her. After the test I was interviewed by COO, who turned out to be the CEO's wife. She said to stop by HR and schedule my second interview with the CEO. At my second interview, the CEO was late and seemed more concerned with being on his cell phone than actually being at the interview. I was asked some generic questions and then told I would be contacted. Two weeks late I was offered the job.

We have two doors, if you chose the door on the left that leads upstairs where most people are working, instead of the door with the reception area downstairs then we can see why you might of felt that way. The people upstairs working are not used to greeting people so we're sorry about what you experienced trying to figure out where to go in the building, perhaps we will label the doors more appropriately. Normally we would conduct interviews in the conference room, it must of been in use. We too felt the kitchen was a little dingy! We've since completely remodeled the kitchen and of course keep it stocked with soda, snacks and food for our staff to enjoy at no cost. The interview with the CEO isn't where the core questions are asked, it's more of a gut check to see if you're a fit. It's very possible he was having a very busy day and has since implemented a no cell phone policy during interviews. Thanks for the feedback!
