I applied online. I interviewed at Diamond Integrated Marketing (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2019
Interview
Honestly, the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. Applied online and was emailed for a phone interview within 24 hours. Phone screen went well and had scheduled an in person interview with the hiring manager. My in person interview ended up being moved to a later date due to the hiring manager’s availability.
The in person interview ended up being with someone who held an interim position at the company and I wasn’t asked any questions pertaining to the role. After the interview, I received no follow up as to whether I had been successful or not.
One month after the interview, when it became obvious I did not succeed in landing the role, the recruiter at Diamond who had been my primary contact at the company, reached out to me asking of I had found a job yet because there might be an opportunity in the near future. After confirming that I had not yet found employment, the recruiter had told me that they would follow up within a week with more info. 2 weeks pass, and no word from the recruiter so, I reached out myself. Turns out, there was an opportunity available but it had nothing to do with what I was seeking employment for so the recruiter decided to just ghost me after having reached out to ME and initiating this entire conversation . Essentially, I was strung along and given false hope.
Moral of the story: do NOT reach out to a candidate with a job opportunity without knowing what the scope of the position is. I was, and still am, appalled by how my case was dealt with. I cannot understand how this behaviour had been deemed appropriate by HR.

Interview
I applied online and got an email from the Hiring Manager scheduling a phone interview. During the phone interview, I was asked a couple of questions. Most of which were more behavioral type .
