      Flight Attendant Interview

      23 Dec 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2015

      Interview

I went through an online assessment, video interview with 5 questions in STAR format, then a phone call just to go over any questions you might have, and finally f2f! At the f2f you are called out alphabetically to get a sticker for any luggage you have, and asked to put all of your documents in an envelope and then in groups of 10 you go up to a large room. In said room you are given a name sticker and you go forth and mingle! There are current FAs lined up along the walls. I encourage you to not only talk to them, introduce yourself, be polite, but talk to other candidates as well. Do not interrupt any conversations. Be confident, collected, poised, polite, and YOURSELF. You will then watch a quick video, and be separated into 3 groups. I was in group B so I started at Fireside Chat. In this section you just ask questions with a very friendly, outgoing individual. It is very easy going. You will also be taken aside to make sure you can reach to open a door, and sit in a jump seat. You will also get your picture taken here, and you will not see that picture again... Or at least until idk when. I personally am very worried about that picture coming back to haunt me lol. After this was the 2:1 interview. A FA will come get you individually and pull you in a room with an HR individual. They will brief you on what kinds of questions they will ask, inform you that they won't make a lot of eye contact. The take A LOT of notes. It can be very intimidating, just be calm. They understand. If they need more info they will ask you questions to go into more detail. There are behavioral questions as well as situational. There is a poster reminding you of the STAR format. They also give a note pad and pen to make notes, this was super helpful for me. They will ask you if you have any questions, ask something. The final section is Destination Delta, here you have to get up and introduce yourself, just be calm. They want to make sure you can be confident and project your voice. We also are given a lot of info about pay, training, schedules. I encourage note taking. At the end of the 3 sections you do a tiny bit of mingling again. Then they will start an announcement, they will ask for a few people to go into the DD room. Everyone else goes straight to the airport. If you are called, then you are receiving a CJO. You will be congratulated by everyone there, and be whisked away for paperwork and drug tests. You have to find your own way to the airport. Some people share a taxi, luckily someone had driven there and offered to give some of us a ride. It is a very long day, make sure to be yourself, and be present the entire time. Try not to check out, but also don't draw too much attention to yourself. Dress conservatively. They are looking for people to be apart of the Delta brand. Good luck!

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
