HR Personnel were ALL very professional, very friendly, and very helpful! Although I was not one of the few asked to stay back, it had been a pleasant experience. It would have been a great honor to work in Delta Airlines, had I been successful. And with my 30+ years of experience in customer service, I know that I would have been a great asset to Delta. En route to the interview on Delta Airlines, the Flight Attendants on board were friendly enough despite what the public reviews said. I guess they just needed more Flight Attendants who cared.
I was hired as a Flight Attendant at Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong) 30 years ago. I was a Malaysian then, and the hiring process was quite similar. Out of the thousands who applied, only 4 of us (from Malaysia) were chosen. I had to quit even before I started as I chose to get married. (They only hire; single, age 19-25 years old, at least 5' 4" females, at that time).
And I have regretted that decision ever since. So, all you young ones out there, do the best you can, while you can.
On a much personal note; speaking from experience, America has the most compassionate, giving, and selfless people in the World! I have never been prouder to be known as an American. If everyone tries to do a good deed (give a praise!), everyday, no matter how small, we CAN have World Peace!
If you care, it shows! Pay it forward!! All the Best to y'all!
