Interview
Interviewing with Deepcell was a mixed experience that left me impressed and concerned about the company's overall culture and work environment. While the initial response to my application was prompt, the entire process turned out to be lengthy and quite chaotic. On the positive side, the hiring team responded quickly to my application and scheduled interviews without any delays. The interviewers were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me as a candidate. However, as the interview process unfolded, several red flags started to emerge. One of the most concerning aspects was the evident lack of a coherent decision-making process within the organization. It became apparent that the company's culture was characterized by chaos and a lack of direction. They appeared to be inexperienced and struggled to make crucial decisions. This raised doubts about the competence of the team and their ability to steer the company in the right direction. Additionally, my interactions during the interviews did not inspire confidence. While they seemed friendly, it became apparent that there was a lack of synergy. Doubts arose about their ability to effectively collaborate and deliver on projects. This further contributed to the overall sense of instability and inconsistency within the organization. The work environment at Deepcell was filled with stress, uncertainty, and a lack of clear communication. This mirrored the sentiment expressed in many other negative reviews about the company. As a candidate, it was disheartening to observe the apparent lack of structure and organization, which could undoubtedly hinder personal and professional growth. Regrettably, my negative experience extended beyond the chaotic work culture. The representative handling the interview process exhibited unprofessionalism in their communication and coordination. They seemed disengaged and lacked basic courtesy in responding to queries or providing updates. This unprofessional behavior reflected poorly on the company's overall image and made the interview process even more discouraging. In conclusion, my interview experience with Deepcell left me with serious reservations about the company as a whole. While the prompt initial response was appreciated, the chaotic culture, lack of decisive leadership, and questionable team dynamics were significant drawbacks. Combined with the unprofessional handling of the interview process. It is evident that Deepcell has some pressing issues to address. I would advise other candidates to approach interviews with caution and thoroughly research the company's culture before making any commitments.

Question 1
Tell me about the project... How do you handle stress?

Interview
Job description said remote, but during interview told that they strongly prefer on-site. Job description said no biotech experience required, but during interview said that it was strongly preferred. Despite a good rapport with my interviewer, it was just too much. Should have just been honest and made things a hard requirement. Should also take a deep, honest look at how much biotech experience is really necessary for this role ... versus just creating good B2B SaaS. Because right now the thinking seems very insular and tribal.
