I applied online. I interviewed at DeMellier (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
After sending in my application, I was approached by the team manager about a week later to set up my first interview with her for the following week. We had a 30 minute one-on-one interview via video call where we discussed more generally my past experiences and qualifications for the role, she asked me a few questions pertaining to the responsibilities of the position as well as described more in depth the day-to-day and expectations within the job. Once completed and passed, I was invited to a second interview via video call the following week with the Head of the PR department as well as my team manager. During this interview, I reiterated my experience etc. but it was more about understanding the company's structure, processes, PR strategies etc. as well as the expectations of the role within the wider team. Following this, I received an offer the same day via phone call and started the job about two weeks later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Could you please walk me through your past experiences and how they could be a good fit to this role? What were some of the past challenges and how did you handle them? More particular to the role - are you familiar with industry talent (VIP, Influencer, press); doing press releases as well as platforms that the company uses across PR strategies? How would you deal with low input/ engagement from an influencer, how would you approach them if for example they weren't posting?

Interview process was managed efficiently with two stages which included interviews along with an exercise to complete. HR were very responsive and organised interviews very quickly, feedback was also received promptly. Interviewers were great at ensuring I had enough time to ask enough questions. Overall, a straightforward and smooth process.

Interview
The interview process was easy to arrange, as they provided a booking link with multiple time slots available. The interview was conducted in person and involved meeting several members of the team, which gave me a good understanding of the role and the people I would be working with. I also had the opportunity to speak with someone who had previously been in the position, which was particularly helpful in understanding their experience and gaining further insight into the role.
