      Business Manager Interview

      21 Dec 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Daymon in Nov 2015

      Interview

I had an initial phone screening, during which they asked about my background and experience. The recruiter said that the hiring manager would follow-up with me within a few days, but it took about a week and a half. I went in for an in-person interview. When I arrived, I discovered it was a group interview. They asked the typical behavior-based questions. For example, "How have you handled working with a difficult person?" Also, "Tell us about a time when you feel you failed, and how did you handle it?" Another example, "What is your personal brand?" Another one, "How do you respond when you feel you are being micro-managed?" Overall, I did not feel that my interview was well received. However, while half of them seemed nice enough, I did not feel a very welcoming vibe from the interviewers. Be prepared for a more formal-style interview, and less of a conversation. The part of the interview process that really put me off was the way in which I received my rejection notice. I found out I didn't get the job via an automated email from their HR department. I realize that people are very busy, but an email from at least one of the four hiring managers would have been more professional.
