      Senior UX Designer Interview

      29 Oct 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at DataGrail (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

I recently reached out to a hiring manager regarding the job posted on LinkedIn, expecting to discuss the position and how I might be a good fit. However, the conversation we had through LinkedIn Messenger took an unexpected turn—rather than discussing the role, the hiring manager tried to sell me coaching sessions, claiming they would help me become one of the top ten candidates considered for the job. It was disappointing and felt like a clear attempt to take advantage of someone actively seeking employment.
