I applied in-person. I interviewed at Darden (Tempe, AZ) in Apr 2016
Interview
The interview process was very simple. You apply online and either wait for them to give you a call or you go in person and ask for an update. I went in person and took a print out of the application I had submitted along with my resume and asked to speak to a manager. I got lucky, spoke to the manager and asked about the status of my application and got an on the spot interview. The interview was very basic. I was asked about previous work, why did I choose that restaurant, and what I had to bring to the table.
Two rounds. First front of house manager. The. Gerneraml manager. It’s fine. They’re cool. They don’t really care as long as you’re competent enough. Darden is a big restaurant so training process is very structures — so if u make a good impression, that’s enough for them to hire u
Very straight forward, might take multiple interviews but rather quick. Only general managers can hire, so I’d try to set one up w them rather than a kitchen or host manager. I
