I was contacted by a recruiter/screener and had a phone screen. Later that week, I was contacted for an in-person interview at their Houston office with the L&D lead. The interview was in the conference room and the chairs were falling apart. The office overall seemed poorly maintained.
When given the opportunity to ask questions, I finally got the answer to my question about the salary. It's an hourly position (not specified on the job req) and was $25-30 per hour. That's 62k annually working 40 hours every week at the top end of their rate - nearly 10k less than a teacher's salary.
I rescinded my interest in the position.
