1. Interviewer was unfamiliar with the role and kept asking basically the same question multiple times. I finally stopped the interview, gave her that feedback, and she turned it around from there.
2. To my surprise, I advanced to a second round with someone who was doing the role in another region. That interview went fine.
3. Round three: part-way through the interview, I discovered I was interviewing with the person I would be replacing as he was getting demoted. When I clarified that with him on the call, he asked, "oh, no one told you?"
4. Hiring manager interview: hiring manager was 10 minutes late for a 30-minute interview. Blamed not knowing he was supposed to call me (I guess he couldn't read the big words on the invite).
5. Recruiter preps me for a presentation and panel interview. I create my presentation and then wait, and wait, and wait...six weeks. I am told to hold two different timeslots (several hours each). This happens twice. After the first time, I am the one to initiate conversation with them. They say they're sorry but they weren't able to make the times work. Same thing the second time, only this time when they reach out, they tell me I'm no longer considered for the role. Via email. After all that.
In all, I wasted 15 weeks of my life.
Run, don't walk. Run! If this is how they treat the people they want to work there, how will they treat me once I actually bought what they were selling. No wonder their advertised pay for the role was better than other companies I was applying to!
