I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DaDa (Salt Lake City, UT) in Nov 2017
Interview
First you submit a resume online, then they contact you through email saying thank you for your application and that they will contact you again for an interview if they want to hire you. Then you set a time for a Skype interview. During the interview they ask you questions about your resume and go over a quick tutorial of the classes and software. Then you set up a trial class time.
They give you instructions on what to wear, etc.
Once you have done your trial, they will be in contact with you about your work schedule, that you pick within a certain time frame. They will also give you your hourly wage and offer any more help you might need.
Then you start working.
The whole process was remote. I received an automated response for my resume and both interviews were video calls. The first interview I was asked about my teaching experience by a teacher currently working for DaDa. I had a follow up where I did a mock lesson. I was given a scenario and asked to pretend the teacher on the other side of the video call was a student.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you keep a 5-year-old child’s attention during class? (answered by role playing with the interviewer)
simple enough process. Don't know if they're taking on new teachers anymore. Had to give a class demonstration but that wasn't too difficult. Simple and ask expected. If I remember rightly, it wasn't longer than 30 minutes.
