The interview was conducted by two individuals who introduced themselves as experienced data scientists. However, it was apparent they were unclear about the specific role they were hiring for and had not reviewed my resume beforehand. They relied heavily on textbook-style questions and seemed to have prepared answers written down; any alternative or slightly different approach in problem-solving or SQL questions was difficult for them to follow. While the interview was not technically difficult, as an experienced candidate I was surprised to be asked only very basic, academic-level questions rather than role-relevant or practical ones.
