I went through a phone interview with the hiring manager, followed by a home assignment. The task was fairly straightforward. I completed the assignment, ensuring my code passed all tests, and focused on readability, design quality and runtime efficiency.
However, I was surprised to receive an email stating that I hadn’t passed. Since my code met all requirements, I reached out for feedback, hoping to understand any areas for improvement. Unfortunately, I received no response. It was a disappointing experience — especially because I was excited about the opportunity, took the assignment seriously, and was left without any constructive feedback or acknowledgment for my effort.
