      I interviewed at DRW

      Interview

Interviewed for a UX Designer position. This was one of the most unprofessional interview experiences I have encountered. The communication issues started before the interview was even scheduled. I was asked to provide my availability and then received no update until I followed up myself. Only after reaching out was the interview finally confirmed. During the interview, I was explicitly told that I would be advancing to the next stage and would receive a design challenge shortly afterward. More than two weeks later, despite multiple professional follow-ups, I have received no challenge, no update, no explanation, and no response. What makes this especially disappointing is that this was not a case of a single recruiter dropping the ball. Multiple members of the recruiting team, including recruiting leadership, were involved in the process. Despite that, nobody was able to provide a simple update, acknowledge a delay, or communicate whether the process had changed. Delays happen. Hiring plans change. Headcount gets adjusted. None of those are valid excuses for complete silence after telling a candidate they are moving forward. Candidates invest hours researching the company, preparing for interviews, rearranging schedules, and demonstrating how they can contribute. The complete lack of follow-through communicated one thing very clearly: candidate time is not valued. Based on my experience, applicants should be prepared for poor communication throughout the process. If basic communication and accountability are missing during recruiting, it raises serious concerns about alignment, ownership, and professionalism within the organization itself.
