Dish doesn't display truthfulness or transparency. I worked with two different recruiters and neither provided insight into the position or would deflect questions that probed at the posting. For instance, A job that was labeled as Operations was actually B2B Technical Support. When directly asked if this was a Tech Support role the recruiter said, "No, It is B2B support using up and coming technologies."
Aside from the transparency of the postings as we all know recruiters are just hungry salespeople. The recruitment process for Dish is complex. You take two tests in the beginning. The tests are personality and technology basics. After passing those, you will be contacted by a recruiter and then need to take a Wonderlick and Watson Glaser critical thinking test. I don't know how Dish gets away with this as most would say it's discrimination to test IQ and determine if a candidate can move on. Regardless, that is the process they have established, and we'll see if Dish can survive and remain agile as the workforce and TV industry change.
