I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Columbia, MD) in Jul 2022
Interview
I went through three interviews one over the phone and two in person. You get a quick interview on the phone asking about availability. Then they asked me to come in for an interview. I was nervous but they ask about 10 questions in person 5 for each interviewer. Really nice interviews they asked good questions. I thought it was excessive just for a cashier position but it went really well. Just be open and really think take as long as you want. They really want to know about previous experiences. They gave me an offer on the spot.

I applied online. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Omaha, NE) in Jun 2014
Interview
The interview itself was basic.. Average. The manager that interviewed me was not the manager of the location I was interviewing for, although that manager was on site. It was followed up by one of those generic "surveys" that posts the same question several different ways to see if you are consistent. I always lose interest in a company when I encounter those type of "surveys".

Question 1
Describe a time when you provided great customer service.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Tempe, AZ) in Jan 2014
Interview
I applied online on December 2013 and I got a call from them a month later asking if I was available for an interview. I accepted it and they gave me the choice on which day and time was best for me. So when I got to the interview with the store manager. he asked me questions from this typed-up generic packet that he had (I guess they use that for all interviews). The vast majority of the questions were related to experience with customer service, cashiering, and interest and playing in sports. After the interview, he said that I would get a call the next day if I am a "good fit", but I had to do an 25 minute (80 question) online "personality" survey with was very easy that did not reflected on your 1:1 interview.
