Group Interview situation. A combination of corny questions that were very easy to prepare for. I have never liked group interviews, but if you are confident they can work well for you.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at DAVIDsTEA (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2014
Interview
Applied online and received an email a few days later inviting me to a group interview.
Fairly laid back group interview with 4 other candidates. They gave us each a free tea when we showed up, then took us to a conference room in the mall. At the beginning of the interview they handed out sheets of paper to fill out with information about how many hours we expected, expected salary, our personal goals etc. The interviewers were very chatty and seemed focused on our personalities. They encouraged us to speak with each other and build off of each others answers instead of answering questions individually.
Group interview, straightforward questions, involved us bringing in 1-2 items that best represented us. They were willing to accommodate people like myself who didn’t have previous experience with loose leaf tea.
I started off as a seasonal tea guide. I applied online, and I was contacted first over email. An initial phone interview led to an in-person interview, after which I was offered a position.
