      Satisfaction Assurance Interview

      Interview

Saw a job referral on my LinkedIn account from one of my connections who currently works there and applied online at the Customink website. Application was super simple, highly suggest adding a resume. The next day received an email asking to schedule a phone interview. Pretty simple phone screen, asked about previous work experience and was asked to give a rundown of the position I was applying for in my own words. Got an invite for a face to face interview. They tell you it's gonna last about 3 hours but mine lasted for 4 so be prepared. They give you a tour first thing and then a panel interview. They ask pretty standard questions relating to previous work experience and how you can make use of it for the company. Then they have you do a test where you are to respond to a "customer" regarding their shirt submission. Keep in mind this is a customer service role so this is where you should let those skills shine. Afterwards was a test to see if you have an eye for detail, spot the difference, what's wrong with this picture kind of stuff. Finally was a one on one w the manager from corporate. Similar to the panel interview but a little more in depth. Then they give you a rundown of benies and wages and then you play the waiting game. Takes about 2 weeks all together.

      Interview

Got an email to set up a phone interview, promptly scheduled the interview for a few days later. Phone interview was the most strange and therefore worst interview I've ever experienced. The woman calling me seemed like she was in a horrible mood from the beginning and wanted to get off the phone with me. She started rapid fire asking me questions back to back, all situational (ie, tell me about a time when you dealt with criticism from a coworker or supervisor, tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a customer, tell me about a time...) When I would finish answering one question she would immediately ask me yet another situational question. I answered probably 8-12 of these types of questions back to back. Then she asked if I had any questions about the job or the company. When I asked her simple questions like what are your hours of operation, she was defensive for some reason. She would say "What do you mean by that??" Uh.... I mean what I asked?? She did tell me employees worked mandatory 6 days a week - 48 hours minimum. The entire phone call lasted only 15 mins which was crazy considering the number of questions she asked me before she hung up. I sent a thank you follow up note to which I got no response. Got an email a week later saying due to the high volume of applicants I was not someone who got selected. Honestly I got such a terrible impression from my phone interaction with this one employee I had already decided if they wanted to continue the interview process I would have declined.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Custom Ink in Jan 2015

      Interview

Very in-depth, very long! Despite it actually going quicker than most jobs I've applied for (the entire experience took approximately two weeks), I had a total of four interviews before I knew anything about my position with whether or not I had received the job. That being said, it makes me feel great knowing that they were prudent with their employee hiring process and I was grateful for being able to have the opportunity to go in and take a tour of the office before they brought me on board. Having an idea of what the company sort of did as a whole made me a lot more excited about the company in general.
