I applied online. I interviewed at Crunch Fitness (New York, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
The interview process itself had multiple steps. There was first a handwritten test that basically asked random questions about the body to decipher how much we knew. Then I was taken to do a physical test where we both physically prove that we have good form and that we can instruct to have good form. Finally, the last part of the interview was an actual face to face get to know you type interview. Not too intimidating and they were all very nice. The only reason I would rate it difficult is because I was not anticipating physical activity in the gym and was dressed proffesional instead haha
Apparently, it is an extremely competitive environment. The interview felt like an investigation. They are expecting someone to spend the whole day at the gym, even though I apply as a part-time trainer.
