The interview process felt more like an interrogation than a typical interview. It was lengthy, intense, and at times, even aggressive. The entire process lasted over two hours. Initially, I had a virtual interview with the purchasing manager and senior buyer, which lasted approximately 45 minutes. I was then invited for an in-person interview with the same two individuals, along with the hiring manager, which extended for about 1.5 hours.
Throughout the in-person interview, the hiring manager was particularly intense, and the questioning was relentless. I found myself needing to justify my responses at every turn. It also felt as though they were presenting their internal challenges, seeking immediate solutions from me during the interview. This was quite different from other experiences, such as county interviews, which typically last around 20 minutes.
Ultimately, I did not receive an offer. However, I believe this was partly because, as the interview progressed, I became less engaged, feeling that the work environment might not be the right fit for me.
