I applied online. I interviewed at Critical TechWorks (Porto, Oporto) in Jun 2026
Interview
I was interviewed by two senior developers. The process was fluid, calm, and respectful.
They started by presenting the company and themselves, then asked me to talk about my background and recent projects. They asked about improvements I had made and how deployment works in my current team.
For the technical part, they shared a Codepile link so we could all see the same screen. They asked about shell script, Git, and Python, then sent me a simple coding exercise and asked me to explain my approach.
The interview was scheduled for 1 hour but ended up lasting 1h30 because I went into great detail about some parts of my career. They were very attentive about timing and made me feel completely comfortable throughout. I had some doubts and didn't know a few answers, but they were very understanding and helped me along the way.
At the end, we had a very casual conversation just to test my English.
Overall, I felt so comfortable that I realized this would be a great place to work. Great team, welcoming environment.
