Initially, the interview process wasn’t bad. It was going by quickly, which I appreciated. It was a quick phone screen, then a virtual interview with a recruiter and then an in-person panel interview. The recruiter was keeping in touch with me thru text which I liked. She even ensured I was all good for the in-person interview after the snow hit. I appreciated that. My issue came after that in-person interview. The director or recruiting stated I’d hear back from the recruiter I’d been in touch with quickly because they were going to discuss me as soon as I left. So I waited 2 days to reach out for an update. I didn’t hear anything back. I reached out again the following day, didn’t hear anything. I waited till Monday, since she was off weekends to reach out again. The following day, now a complete week after my panel interview, I called the site I did the interview at and asked the GM, thankfully he told me they passed on me. He also apologized on their behalf for not getting back to me because usually they’re quick about it. I just found it extremely unprofressional considering they’re the #2 employer in the nation. These are the types of things that change my perspective on them and also word of mouth goes along way as well. It just doesn’t sit right with me. You’re a company that wants to come off as extremely profressional so that should be showcased every single step of the way.
