I had a negative experience with the Cozymeal "interview process." After submitting my resume for an open position, I received an enthusiastic response indicating they wanted to move forward with me as a candidate. To my surprise, the next step was not an interview but rather an extensive visual and written assignment. I went through with it in good faith, completed and submitted the assignments as requested, and followed up a week later. However, I never received any response—not an interview invite nor a rejection.
It's unprofessional to request significant work from applicants before even conducting an initial interview. It shows a lack of respect for the candidate's time and effort. Moreover, failing to follow up after asking someone to complete such tasks is discourteous and reflects poorly on the company's values.
