      Full Stack Engineer Interview

      28 Sept 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Portland, OR
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cozy (Portland, OR)

      Interview

Applied through 3rd party recruiter. Recruiter asked some behavioral screening questions. A week later, I had a video call with the engineering manager, during which I was to work through a short programming exercise. After this, they brought me in for an on-site interview, which consisted of another programming exercise with another manager and a senior engineer, a non-technical culture fit interview with two engineers from the team, and a cross-disciplinary interview where I met with some non-engineers. I was impressed with the company culture and the culture of the engineering team. Everyone I talked to seemed very smart and thoughtful. They also seemed to have good snacks and drinks on site, which is always a plus! Ultimately, although I received positive feedback, I did not receive an offer, and am unfortunately barred from applying again for a year since I went through a 3rd party recruiter.
