1. Phone Screen with Recruiter
2. Phone Interview with Dept Manager 2 weeks later
3. 4-person panel interview with STAR based questions 2 weeks after phone interview
4. Notification that another candidate was selected 5 weeks after panel interview
The overall process was positive, but frustrating at times. I was initially told by the recruiter that the department would "move pretty quickly to fill this position." That proved to be false, as I waited weeks in between each interview and was left wondering where I stood, even after requesting updates via email from the recruiter.
After the panel interview, I heard nothing from the recruiter for 4 weeks. I began to wonder if they would even bother to let me know I hadn't been selected. After 5 weeks from my panel interview (and 9 weeks since having been initially interviewed), I sent an email asking for an update and received a call from the recruiter letting me know that they had offered the job and it was accepted, to and by another candidate.
Letting me know was essentially an afterthought. Given the multiple interviews and research that I devoted my time to, I was rather irritated that my time and talent were not be respected by offering me a timely update.
