I interviewed at Corus Orthodontists (Calgary, AB)
Interview
There was 3 total stages. Initial screening, Model presentation, Meeting with CFO before I was extended a job offer a couple days later. Overall pretty standard and a fair number of stages. They asked for 3 references.

Interview
Phone screening with recruiter. Virtual interview with a 2 individuals and then video interview with VP. I was told that I was a strong candidate throughout. In the final interview the VP ended the call by saying that she had no reservations in hiring me and that she was the “end of the line” so that I should be hearing from the relatively soon with next steps. This lead me to believe that I would be receiving an offer. Within hours of that interview, they re posted the job I was interviewing for and they waited 4 more days to reach out to me and update me about it. They said they were looking for someone with more experience even though I have a decade of experience. I was very confused by this reaction to be honest. I really enjoyed my interactions with the other team members but the messaging from the VP and the conflicting actions that took place right afterwards were incredibly confusing and, to be honest caused me anxiety while I was questioning why they might have reposted the job after I’m not so many words saying I’d hear with next steps when the next steps were the “end of the line”. Anyway - advice to this company : do not repost a role until you have followed up with your candidates and do not use such confusing messaging with candidates unless you are sure you’re offering them the job.
