Since it was my dream job I kept on emailing the recruiter and he sent out my resume to other similar sights and in January I was contacted by the Wilmington, NC fiber optic plant for a skype interview. The interview was hard, I was expecting behavioral questions but they drilled me on my research experience and resume, as well as process engineering questions. I was called back later that week by the interviewer and my to-be supervisor that I got the job. Corning recruits primarily on the East Coast so I was the only intern to come from further than Virginia (from Arizona). If you show your enthusiasm and passion for innovation and for the company, you will leave a positive mark on the recruiters and interviewers.
