I attended an interview day booked via Convergys to attend one of their local assessment days at their call centre local to myself in the SK area. The building itself has no primary reception so entering required finding a member of staff who could show me into the building. This built a positive first impression of the character of staff employed by Convergys.
The interview process is very simple, three stages, application (nothing heavy, just references, address details and copies of your ID) which asks some in-depth questions about your finances - some of which are worded poorly. The second stage is a role-play based on a typical Sales call - which prompts confusion; as the job title is Inbound, there is no Sales element but from my perspective, I found this confusing. The third and final part is your interview, to get to know you better; Convergys prior to this, only has your Curriculum Vitae to go from.
I was unable to complete the myself; Convergys is typically an employer for call centres that are outsourced, so the office is many, many people working on many different campaigns. If you have sensory overload issues, my advice is to look elsewhere; the noise level doesn't drop.
