I was called to have an inhouse interview in September 2020 but due to bad scheduling the appointment got shifted 3 times. The whole experience was quite strange. I was welcomed in the beginning by an assistant that even offered a glass of water, but what occured later was quite unexpected. Regardless of the delay, a group of 3 interviewers entered the conference room but none of them presented themselves or greeted. I was not offered a seat until I asked for. The first words that they said to me was just "Mask! With Mask!" while I did not even ask to remove it, and one of the interviewers was not wearing a mask at all. The questions regarding my skills were not many. Most of the questions were personal. The style of the main interviewer even if he wanted to seem humorous, it only felt ironic and hostile with strange assumptions and slurs. I tried to keep my good mood but the continuous interruption of my responses and the disregarding of my attempts to maintain the interview to a professional level made me nervous and dazed. In the end, when they asked if I had any questions, I tried to make a conversation and to show that I have done a background search on the company and its services, and that I was prepared for a more technical interview. The response was in every aspect just preposterus.
They did not greet when I was leaving the room and when I tried to make a handshake the two of them completely silently denied and one of them just offered a fist bump (?) "due to Covid" even if I had used hand sanitizer while in the room with interviewers present.
Of course they did not even bother to contact me further, even if they said that they would respond in a 3 week period, regardless of the their decision.
Overall, I felt that they treated me as an imbecile and the whole aura felt completely Kafkaesque.
One of the worst interviewing experiences ever.
