I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Continu (New York, NY) in Oct 2025
Interview
I don’t ever want to forget what this felt like.
Three weeks. Seven rounds. Hours of prep. Meetings with the founders, VP-levels, engineers, product leaders. A role play that I crushed. In-person interviews at their Hudson Street office where the energy felt perfect. Every signal was green — “We’re moving forward,” “We’re putting an offer together,” “We can’t wait to have you on the team.”
And then… gone.
Less than twenty-four hours after reviewing the offer and verbally accepting, the same people who had been telling me how excited they were pulled it. No explanation, no warning, not even the decency to wait until references were checked. One day, I’m about to sign; the next, I’m a ghost in their inbox.
That kind of reversal isn’t just disappointing — it’s damaging. It messes with your sense of trust, your confidence, your belief that people mean what they say. I showed up with professionalism, authenticity, and energy. I treated their team with respect and gave everything I had to the process. They responded with silence and a rescind.
What I learned:
Never assume a company’s “yes” means yes until the ink is dry.
Pay attention to how leadership behaves under small pressure — it’s the clearest window into how they act when things get hard.
Protect your time, your energy, and your dignity. Not every “opportunity” deserves you.
It still stings. I won’t pretend it doesn’t. But I also know that this experience sharpened me. It reminded me of what I bring to the table — and that the right team will never make me feel like this.
Continu taught me one thing, at least: trust actions, not words.
Thank you for your feedback. We take every review seriously and continually work to improve the interview experience.
While we cannot discuss individual interview circumstances, we do want to clarify that all roles at Continu require accurate application materials and verified qualifications.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Continu (Denver, CO) in Mar 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of founds (Chief of Staff, VP of CS, CEO, VP of Finance & Sales Director). Each interview was more of a conversation around skills, experience and the role. I learnt a lot about the company and was able to accurately judge whether it would be a good fit for me
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Continu in Jun 2023
Interview
Interviewed at Continu about a year ago and I didn't have the experience they were looking for, which is totally fine. Applied for another CSM role that I definitely had the experience for about a year later. When I said I interviewed a year ago the conversation changed immediately, as if I wasn't allowed to apply again. They got back to me two days later saying the position had been filled. Yeah okay... so why'd you interview me then? I clearly threw them off when I said I had interviewed there in the past. Fast forward a couple months to now, which I saw another CSM role that caught my eye. I emailed them directly and received no response. I followed up with them once more and the next day I received an automated email that they won't be moving forward. Clearly Continu isn't interested in interviewing the same people twice, despite having the experience necessary. Kind of a shame actually, because if someone expresses interest in your company like that maybe it's a good thing, no?
We are so sorry that you had this experience. It is never our intention to make anyone feel unwelcome or unable to express interest in our roles.
We have seen unbelievably high application volumes on some roles and the process tends to move fast. Roles do sometimes get filled while there are still candidates early in the process (or in the application queue). While we try to create a personal experience for candidates, as a small team it is often not possible to connect with every applicant personally.
We understand that this translated as disinterest in your background and take ownership for that. We wish you the very best in your job search and hope to hear from you again at some point in the future.
