The HR personnel was friendly, and the two directors were equally amiable. While in the interview with the directors, Ms. S introduced me to the company's job, which was quite intriguing. However, the salary they offered me was below the market rate. For instance, they proposed to pay me the same salary as my current employer, which is $3,200. One of the directors tried to convince me by saying that joining their company would offer me more experience per dollar. Another company offered me $3,550 for the first three months and $3,850 for subsequent months, which was a higher salary than theirs. In the end, I opted for the higher salary because I needed to pay for my expensive rental in Singapore. Nevertheless, their benefits package was enticing, as it included medical coverage, overtime compensation, study and examination leave, and other perks.
