After a phone interview, I was invited to interview in person on my own dime for a planner position. So I purchased my plane ticket and rented a car and showed up to the interview. It was a panel of 5 people - 3 planners, an HR person, and somebody extra. They went through a list of interview questions, very formal and not personable at all. Then I had to go into a room and do a written portion. At the end of the interview I asked if they'd be contacting both successful and unsuccessful candidates, and they assured me that yes, they would let me know either way after a week. So a week went by and I never heard from them. After 2 weeks went by, I reached out to them, and never heard back. That was two months ago. I spent a lot of time, energy, and money to go interview in their city and they never had the decency to ever talk to me again once I left the building after my interview. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and just not at all the type of people I would ever want to work with. So glad this job did not go through, but definitely wish I had never even interviewed with them as it was entirely a waste of time.
