I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at College Works Painting (Saint Paul, MN) in Sept 2013
Interview
in class intro, group conversation, phone interview, another phone interview, final in-person interview. It was from District Manager to the Vice President of the region. There was plenty of time between interviews because in the person one had to be with the VP who could only do them every so often.
I interviewed at College Works Painting (Kalamazoo, MI)
Interview
Starts with a phone screening, then Goes into an information session. Eventually you get to do a reverse interview and ask your questions as well as share information about yourself, from there are multiple formal interviews.
Straight forward and informative. You go through a couple of rounds of group interviews and then a phone call with the VP. Then an in-person interview at some location (Probably not now with covid).

Question 1
Mostly if you work hard and are willing to work for them?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at College Works Painting (Detroit, MI) in Dec 2021
Interview
3 rounds, one with district manager, one with President, and another I forgot. They like to hire people who played sports in high school and people who work hard. Ask if you have transportation and make sure you understand the internship is a painting business where you go D2D for leads.
