I applied to a reasonable looking ad online ( zip-recruiter) They quickly responded via email and asked to schedule an interview. I interviewed in Aurora, CO. I walked into office that looked really rough, stains on the carpet floor, tv with sports on next to the receptionist, loud club/ dance music playing and haphazardly put up art on the walls, and into a very odd lobby/ waiting room. You receive a form to fill out, with your info, work hx, education, interests and then, " Rank the list these words in importance to you." This was the first flag for me, as you already filled this out when applying and attaching your resume..
I met with a "mid" level employee, after being told via text and email prior to my interview, I'd be meeting with the "CEO Emilio" I was asked to bring a copy of my resume even though they stated they have it on file, and it was not even looked at or mentioned in my interview.
No questions asked about previous positions, experience or qualifications for the role I was applying for.
After what was supposedly to be an hour long interview...14 minuets later I was told, "Ok, great thats it, tomorrow we're continuing the interviews, if you get a text or email, you can come back and we'll continue. "
I received a callback, I drove across Denver, to Aurora and had my second interview.. more paperwork, more rank these works in level of importance and I met with another employee, Nice woman, very talkative, very focused and, appeared slight of hand with the interview. I was taken into the office, with another applicant and they asked a series of questions, "Get to know you, tell me about yourself questions." and then was asked to leave the room for one on one conversations.
Once back in the room with the interviewer, I was asked to guess what salaries and how much employs made and how fast of a timeline was their progression. Having put development and advancement high on my rank of importance list, I figured this is where the focus was coming from. She continued on, and stated this office alone has made 44+ Million last year.. And to myself I got to thinking... If the company made $44+ Million and the CEO was given 100K to set up an office.... Why are there stains on the carpet, and why does the
" office" look like a haphazardly decorated dorm room? After her spiel and writing down the levels of the organization. She said, we'll decide on 3rd round of interviews this evening and expect a call between 6-7, this was 30 min into another hour long interview. If you get a call, you continue, if not thats it. She asked me before I left if I could come in on Saturday ( the next day for my 3rd interview if I was picked) ( which is fine, but for this sorta company raises more flags)
I went on about my day, having noticed too many red flags to continue. However I did receive a message later in the evening than their timeframe saying, "please call..." So when I was free, I called... " The voice mailbox of the person you're trying to reach is unavailable." Tell me... Why does a company worth billions supposedly... not have an answering machine?
Don't Walk. Run away from this garbage waste of time and gas money for all of you who apply with them. It's a dumpster fire.
Seems they cast a very wide net and lure anyone and everyone in and then bait and switch them for a job in referral based marketing, MLM ( Multi Level Marketing)
My impression and deduction is they use the list of words you rank, as a road map to figure out your motivators and draft/ curate their spiel to pitch to entice you into their "system" of networking and referral marketing. Collecting clients and gaining points and meeting their requires sales quotas before you, " Progress to the next level." IE downline of people under you, selling and gaining more clients for them, and in turn who hired you...
Stay away, absolute waste of time.
