Had a basic call from Team Lead followed by UI assignment. UI assignment was big and took lot of hours. The expectation is to write test cases and whole UI and parameters of evaluation are defined properly. After spending 10+ hours on assignment received a rejection from HR without even a call from member of the Technical team. I have taken enough interviews myself and haven't rejected without understanding the applicant side in take-home assignment. Unless they felt that I didn't know anything about UI Engineering, seems like a biased and unprofessional process. And recuriter didn't even replied when asked about the reason for rejection. Hopefully, they will improve there process otherwise they will loose good interested candidates.
