The standard interview process consisted of 3 remote interviews and was led quite well by HR.
In the end I was left disappointed with no offer, while receiving positive feedback during interviews and what I believed was a perfect fit in terms of experience and background.
Apparently not good enough during k8 debugging, though this was the most comical k8 interview I’ve ever experienced. Be prepared k8 tasks are not related to any real life scenarios and are actually very easy tasks, once you realise in time what they’ve given to you. I was well prepared for real things and a week later passed the CKA exam, so that’s about how good their screening was. It would be the first thing I would try to change if I joined the company, but like someone else here pointed out, there might be something else at play.
Having spoken to engineers, who went through interviews in this company, the pattern emerges, where even objectively passing all stages and getting positive feedback doesn’t guarantee receiving an offer.
Unfortunately this is how the hiring process works in companies who hire continuously with few headcounts. So be prepared for a waste of time.
