I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Clark County School District (Las Vegas, NV) in Jun 2013
Interview
none, as i went through teach for america, which has a very rigorous itself. once again, there was no hiring process for me, as i was part of the teach for america program-- they found a placement for me without me having to interview at all. I'm not quite sure how else i can say this, but there was literally no interview.

Application
I applied through university. I interviewed at Clark County School District
Interview
I applied during my last semester as an undergrad at UNLV. CCSD sent current principals out to UNLV and they asked us general questions like "why do you want to be a teacher?" I was lucky because I personally knew the principal who conducted my interview from the high school in which I graduated (she offered me a job teaching at her school and I made the biggest decision of my life when I declined it).
They let you know within a week if you were hired, then you begin spending lots of money by paying for background checks, teaching license, etc.
After spending all the money you received for graduating college, you go to new teacher orientations which consists of weeks of driving all across the Vegas valley to hear seminars and speeches from people who just received thousands of dollars along with a stipend (to gamble of course or purchase hookers... I mean escorts) from the Clark County School District.
An administrator (or the admin secretary) will hand you the keys to your new classroom and then you'll have to go out and spend even more money to have proper supplies and posters/décor for the first day of school due to tremendous budget cuts in public education.
