Emailed the hiring managers directly fresh out of university. Got called for an interview. They were very chill. Explained to me exactly what they were looking for. Started digging into my background and academic achievements and asking a lot of technical questions. They liked straightforward and confident answers. Be ready to explain to them your models and formulas.
