I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at City Year (Jacksonville, FL) in Oct 2017
Interview
The interview took place over the phone. It was roughly 20-30 minutes long in duration. There were basic questions being asked mainly regarding working with kids and personal goals. Also, other basic interview questions like what are your strengths and what are your weaknesses.
Very simple. Quick virtual interview and pretty simple questions. Research their values and what not and you should be good to go. As far as I remember it was a single interview and decision is relatively soon after that.
Really friendly and welcoming. Try to make it as comfortable as possible and share about the work they do. They want to ensure applicants are making the right decisions and that they assess the values.

Done over zoom and not an overly long process interviews are usually conducted by the IM for a school in the city you are applying for but if you have a pulse you should be fine
