The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Citrine Informatics
Interview
Very unprofessional and unethical behaviour from the Citrine hiring team.
Citrine should understand that the existence of such companies (innovative yet not fully aware among industries) relies highly on its proximity to efficient talent pool. At this scale and time, this talent pool is very less in number and closely connected. Once your reputation is gone in this circle, it’d be very difficult to regain it back.
Dragged an interview over 4 months citing lame excuses. I missed many other opportunities in the meantime waiting for their reply. And the final reply was a very illogical excuse. We’re engineers, not fools.
My solution to this for the citrine team, Make this checklist internally and only post requirements once all these are checked,
Do I have the requirement for this position?
Do I have the money to hire this person?
What’s the timeline I’m aiming for ?
Do I want to hire this candidate for this position?
What are the constraints?

Question 1
Got a 5 day programming task that was never reviewed, never commented. Total waste of time!
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Citrine Informatics (Redwood City, CA) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process entailed a phone call with the group lead. They explained the role and the department. The interview process also included a coding assignment. This was discussed at length.
