After applying online and a phone interview with HR, I was set up with an in person interview at the office in Montgomery, AL and told to dress business professional. The person interviewing me was a recent college grad who had graduated from a management program. She was nice enough but didn’t ask me any questions, just talked about how surprised she was that they gave her this management job and how overqualified I was for the supervisor role. In spite of this, she said she would set me up with her direct manager for the next interview, as well as her counterpart on the sales team since they may be interested in me as well. I was extremely encouraged, having just been laid off in Silicon Valley. Unfortunately I was completely ghosted. I even received an auto email requesting I apply for the job I already interviewed for, which I forwarded to HR, providing them an opportunity to say it was a mistake, should have been the auto rejection email, etc. I still heard nothing back. Seeing the job still posted, I feel as if I was used for interview practice for someone starting their career. Talk about deceptive and misleading. I would steer clear for sure.
