Interview
Having experience with one of Filmbuff's partner companies, I applied for the Programming Manager. I went into the interview and I did not have a copy of my resume because I don't have a printer at home, and I don't have a printing station nearby.
Yes, I've learned my lesson. And frankly, I'm glad that I got to use Filmbuff as an example because I have no hard feelings about not getting this job. The COO who interviewed me was unbelievably snooty and rude. For one, he didn't even know my name, and he hadn't even looked at my resume, so he was blindly interviewing me. Those are indicative of a company that doesn't take its interviewing process seriously. If you want the best candidates—not to say that I'm one of them—you would take the time to read each resume, and not do a bunch of blind round one interviews and then call back the ones you like. He acted as if not having a resume is indicative of the type of coworker I am, so he was pretending to listen while he stared at me like he suddenly became constipated. Because he didn't read my resume beforehand, he didn't know that I had worked with a more successful partner company that's giving the company its biggest license share. He was only a few years older than I am, and he was so self-serious that I'm proud of myself for not bursting out laughing.
Also, the employees at their desks looked very unhappy. I couldn't begin to wonder why...

Phone interview and then in person interview with head of the department. I applied through my school's online web application for a finance/analytics internship. Took a few weeks before someone got back to me to set up an interview. Everyone was very friendly.

Interview
Skype interview with two members of the team. Talked about the role I would be filling and about my background as a student. I sent in an application and they emailed me about setting up a Skype interview since I was still in school. I did that interview (about 20 min) and heard back within the week about the job. It was a week long, very casual, very simple process
